Real 2026 baseline
Every rank is first located on the actual 2026 PCM merit curve, interpolated between the nearest real candidates in the list — not a guess.

Modest yearly inflation
MHT-CET's candidate pool has historically grown a few percent a year. A conservative 4.5% growth is applied to ranks and pool size for 2027 — enough to matter, not enough to be alarmist.

A range, not a point
Percentile-to-rank isn't perfectly smooth near ties and at the extremes, so results are shown as a realistic band around the projection rather than one exact number.
