CETkit is a set of free and premium MHT-CET exam-prep tools โ a CBT simulator, rank predictor, college predictor, and cutoff explorer. This page explains, tool by tool, exactly what information is collected, why, where it's stored, and how you can control it.
This policy covers all pages of the CETkit platform: the Gateway (index.html) where you sign in and unlock exams, the CBT Simulator (exam.html) where you attempt papers, and three standalone reference tools โ the Rank Predictor, College Predictor, and Cutoff Explorer. CETkit is an independent, unofficial exam-practice resource and is not affiliated with the State CET Cell, Maharashtra, or any government body.
CETkit is built and maintained by the CETkit Team. If anything below is unclear, the email address at the bottom of this page is the fastest way to reach us.
Signing in uses Google OAuth through Supabase Auth. This gives CETkit your name, email address, and Google account profile picture, which are used only to identify your account, display your name/avatar in the header, and gate access to exam content. CETkit never sees or stores your Google password.
Your email is stored in a profiles table in Supabase to record whether you have premium access. No payment card or bank details are ever collected by CETkit itself โ see Section 4 for how payment actually works.
| Data | Source | Purpose | Stored where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name, email, avatar | Google OAuth | Identify account, show profile in header | Supabase Auth |
| Email + access flag | Your sign-in | Unlock/lock premium exams | Supabase profiles table |
When you launch a paper from the Gateway, your email is passed along in the page URL so the simulator knows whose attempt to save. If you open the simulator without an email (e.g. a direct link with no sign-in), your progress simply isn't synced anywhere โ it stays in that browser tab only, and is lost when you close it.
Starting a fresh attempt on a paper you've already taken erases your previous saved attempt for that paper before the new one is recorded โ only your most recent attempt per paper is kept.
After submitting, you're asked to optionally rate the paper (star rating) and leave written feedback. This is used only to improve the simulations and is not linked to your identity in any public or shared way.
Premium access (a one-time โน99 unlock) is handled entirely outside CETkit's own systems:
profiles table. The Rank Predictor runs entirely in your browser. The percentile you type in is used only to interpolate against a locally embedded 2026 merit-list dataset to estimate a rank range. Nothing you enter is sent to any server, saved, or linked to your identity โ it disappears the moment you close or refresh the tab.
Both tools work the same way from a privacy standpoint. They load a public reference dataset of CAP Round I cutoff ranks/percentiles by college, branch, category, and gender from Supabase, and let you filter it using the percentile, rank, category, gender, or search terms you type in.
None of the values you type into these tools are sent anywhere. Your percentile, rank, category, and search queries are used purely to filter data already loaded into your browser, and are never transmitted to Supabase, saved in a database, or associated with your account โ even if you happen to be signed in elsewhere on the site.
CETkit does not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising/analytics scripts. Supabase Auth uses its own session storage in your browser purely to keep you signed in between visits โ this holds an authentication token, not personal content, and is cleared when you sign out.
| Service | Role |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Authentication, and storage of your profile/access status and exam attempts |
| OAuth sign-in provider โ supplies your name, email, and avatar when you sign in with Google | |
| Your UPI app & bank | Processes the โน99 premium payment; CETkit never sees your bank/card details |
| WhatsApp (Meta) | Used to send your payment screenshot and email for manual access verification |
| cdn.quizrr.in and similar CDNs | Serve diagram/question images embedded in some papers |
Each of these operates under its own privacy policy for the data it handles on their platforms.
CETkit is built for MHT-CET aspirants, many of whom are minors preparing for entrance exams. Sign-in only collects the name/email your Google account already provides, and no additional personal information is requested. Parents or guardians with questions about a student's data are welcome to reach out using the contact details below.
This policy may be updated as CETkit adds new tools or features. The "Effective date" at the top of this page will always reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the platform after an update means you accept the revised policy.
